This includes, but is not limited to, managing detailed financial processes with our major donors and sponsors, oversees procurement and contract administration, and complex CRM database management, reporting, analytics and optimisation. It enables the provision of data-driven insights and offers commercial advice to inform decision-making in line with the Museum’s strategic objectives. The role will also drive various finance process improvement initiatives. The Senior Finance Business Partner also guides financial planning and performance processes, including budget formulation, forecast revisions, and financial reporting. This position also supports the business with developing procurement plans and financial management initiatives, shaping financial strategies, crafting annual budgets, and managing forecasting processes to ensure alignment with the Museum's sustainable growth.

The Facilities Services Coordinator supports the Facilities Services Manager in organising, scheduling and supervising contractors delivering scheduled maintenance and unplanned urgent repairs to all buildings on the Museum's three current sites and future sites while coordinating, triaging, assigning and managing multiple urgent service requests from all internal Powerhouse stakeholders. The role is responsible for overseeing the defects management process across the Powerhouse Parramatta project, management of the Museum's contractor management system, the induction of contractors, checking contractor Safe Work Method Statements, recording all contractor licenses and qualifications, and ensuring that contractor work is carried out in a professional and timely manner.

The Contracts Coordinator plays a critical role in providing advice, feedback following reviews and support to the business during the contract management stage of the Procurement process. Once contracts have been executed, the Contracts Coordinator is responsible for the administration, compliance and reporting activities related to the establishment and management of contracts, in line with the Contract Management Plan and approved procedures. The Contracts Coordinator is also responsible for continued monitoring and proactive management of active contracts to drive compliance and mitigate exposure of risk to Powerhouse. The role manages contract administration, compliance, and reporting activities to support strategic performance monitoring and enable effective oversight of contracted service delivery within the Procurement Team of the Finance Directorate, Powerhouse Museum. Specifically, the Contracts Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all relevant contract details are comprehensively recorded in the Contracts Register and works closely with the Records Management team to ensure all contracts are also captured in Powerhouse’s records management system.

Responsible for leading the approach to audio, lighting, visual and broadcasting solutions, the Technical Manager acts as the conduit between project teams and industry experts to ensure the museum remains at the cutting edge of production technology.

Museum Research Volunteers
Volunteers support staff in researching recently acquired objects in our collection. This role involves working with museum staff and volunteers on-site or virtually across a range of activities related to recently acquired objects.
